What goes down, will come up

"Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off."
~ Proverbs 27:10

Yes, another nice day and date to blog on. =]
Resisting not the temptation to pound on this keyboard.
-does the dance of joy-

Work this week was... challenging. (Lack of a better word, please do pardon me.)
Spent a lot of time reflecting on my choices in life and what lead me to a lot of the places I am in at the moment with regards to work and relationships.
Blessed am I.
Thank You God.
Finding myself unable to sleep due to thinking too much about work.
Have to stop that bad habit.
Must learn to have a memory only for the office.
To be booted up at 7.45am and turned off at 5.45pm from Mondays to Fridays.
Unless over time is to be done. In such case, extension of memory time will call for more sleep.
-psychotic laughter-

You raise me up - Josh Groban

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

Krystal was a huge encouragement this week.
Helped me through the extremely tough portions and waved pompoms for me.
Thanks Krystal!
God sent an angel to me~
Hehe...
I've found someone who also carries family photos in her wallet!
Wow!
High 5 gal!
God's plan for us this week was rather interesting.
We were thinking of going out on Friday, but she had tuition and I had a meeting at Concourse to attend.
In the end, everything fell into place.
Meeting was efficient (read: ended early) and she took a cab down to meet me.
So gan dong lor~
No one has taken a cab to meet me before.
-blows nose into tissue-

We walked from Concourse to WWS, only to find it closed.
Then retraced our steps to Beach Road - Army Market.
While taking her around the market, we found this rather quaint shop.
Bought Alvin's birthday present.
It's a 'Four-didas' design.
Black with green, red an yellow strips on the sleeves.

I went a tad 'bag-zy' and bought two bags.
One bear covered and another one with plenty of flowers.
Only thing that I am still wondering is why the flower bag has to have such PINK lining.
Have a feeling that if the bag were opened in a dark room, it would illuminate the rest of the items around me. O.o
-hysterical laughter-
Hmmm... am definitely becoming more of a retail therapy person.
Uhoh...
Dum-da-dum-dum~~~
-more hysterical laughter-
Then again, admission to be made:
It does feel rather good to go shopping and hone my bargaining skills. :D

After the shopping, we went to the basement for prawn noodles.
Must intro her to the nice nice stuff no? ;)
Ate, chatted and chatted more while afterward waiting for the bus.
Made our way to Whampoa for so crash training.
Good gosh, it's been ages since I last went to Whampoa.
okok, it was a crash session, but still.. Sundays do not count on my training list.
Then again, I hardly have the opportunity to train any more.
Teach, teach, teach.
Me are becomed lazy also lor.
-whacks head against wall-
Speaking of which...

Yang Mui ah~
You have more injuries from training than I did at my peak lor...
What's up with that?
The sadistic part of me misses having all the bruises and red marks leh...
Jiat lut.
Please take care of yourself ok?

Ok, where was I?
-ponders-
Yah!
-ponders a bit more-
I need to make sure my body is in shape before next year rolls around.
January is the official 'green-light' period.
Two years would have finally passed and I will be eligible for Dan 2.
Good gracious me.
As much as I would LOVE to go get my degree 2, I have to make sure that I am worthy of the belt... and make sure that the money is not wasted.
Can buy a few meals at Ichiban Boshi lor... don play play.
Will have to come up with a proper training schedule.
Maybe train at the office after hours before going home?
That's an option.
Hmmm... Fridays?
Something extra to look forward to.
Something special to work toward.
Make sure that I finish as much work as possible and the gym will be my play ground for sweating it out.
Hmm.... it might work...
-evil grin-
Might not even have to be a Friday, Thursday also can.... but I personally prefer Fridays, can relac and let all the stress go~
-continues to grin-
WAHAHA~~

Ironman.
Wooweee~
Can't wait for the DVD to come out.
Tony Stark and his super chest lights... haha...
Gimme gimme.
The same would go for Micheal Phelps.
Swimmers have such nice bodies.
-migumi laughter-
Beijing Olympics had sweet eye candy.
Just need to go find those articles and have them slotted properly at my desk.
I gotta have good looking things to look at right?
-more migumi laughter-
When one is stuck in a factory for more than 8 hours, the amount of good looking items dwindles a lot.
Trust me.
XD

Was on duty for the Singapore Fireworks Fest last Saturday.
My second time on boat duty at night.
Oh how fireworks amaze me.
I doubt that I am the only one who feels that way about the exploding lights in the sky.
I particularly like the 'rain-tree' fireworks.
The ones that explode and then re-explode.
A bit like cluster bombs. Oppz.
How interesting it is to watch money going up in flames. Literally.
Was on duty from 6 to 11.30 pm.
Uncle Philip was kind enough to give me a lift home.
Had a rather enlightening conversation at the same time.
I learn quite a bit that evening.
Heh...
Daniel was kind enough to lend me his jacket for the duty session.
I was so freaking cold in the office coz of the rain.
If he had not lent me his jacket, I would have gone blue on the Singapore River.
Not something spectators would have liked to see aye?
Blue girl on the Singapore River in front of the Merlion on a boat, shining lights at Bum boats.
-loud psychotic laughter-
Can't wait for the next time I can go on on duty! =]
-does the dance of joy again-
I was so 'high' from the session that I left my umbrella at WWS, so had to go back the next day (Sunday) to get it.
Hahaha~

Anyways, I'm reaching my burn out phase again.
Fell asleep on the way home from Whampoa.
Alvin and Sir was chatting away and I knocked out.
Even fell asleep while watching House with TKM!
HOUSE LEH!
I so enjoy watching that show and I fell asleep!
Woke up in time to catch the ending credits. X.x
Geez~~~
Tried to take a nap in the afternoon today, not very successful coz the nap only started around 6pm and lasted for less than 2 hours.

Took TKM and YKM out for lunch at Aijsan @ Compass Point.
The standard has not been maintained.
Sadly.
TKM and YKM were satisfied with the food - they said so.
I still think they need to improve.
Bought a few items and went walking around the mall before heading home on the LRT in typical Sharon-bie mode.
Tonight shall be another knocked out night.
Sunday is less than 4 hours away.
Service in less than 12 hours.

Pesta Sukan 2008 has been going on for the past 3 weeks.
Doubt I have any 'yuan' with the tourney this year.
No time and no motivation to attend.
-shrugs-
Anyone wanna go with me?
Let me know before 11pm today ok?
I will make the arrangements.
ASAP ah~

I miss training.
TKD is in my blood.
Poomsae session at NTC in less than 3 weeks.
Exciting?
Hmmm...
-rubs hands together in glee-
Time for an upgrade!
Want to improve my self defence techniques.
Sparring shall be done.
Give me back my de-stressing outlet.
Please?

Krystal!
Let me know when your exams end.
We go gai gai again ok?
=]

Ying-ster!
Which Friday will you be free to come over?
Or meet at Jurong, we go walk walk and shop shop.

Parveen!
Sugar babe!
Ave Q tickets booked yet?
-waits with baited breath-

Yang Mui~~
Are we having a gathering any time soon? =]

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above, ye heavenly hosts.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen

He raises me up.

Beijing 2008

"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver."
~ Proverbs 25 : 11

The Olympics is here.
Already 20th Aug and the tkd tourney portion has begun.
Sadly, I have neither cable television nor a tape recorder, so have to wait till Krystal is done with the taping before I can let my eyes feast on the kick-fest.
Nice date for today: 20082008.
Can't resist.
Love those dates that look so cute... Once for all eternity ya?
China looks set to sweep a record number of golds and beat the entire western world into the ground.
I loved the opening of the Olympics.
Remember saying to myself: I wonder how England is going to top this...

I've been confirmed in the company.
Why does it feel more like a sentence than a chance to do better?
Been so down lately.
After having that long break, I so don't feel like going back to work.
Then again, if I don't go back to work, nothing is going to get done.
Gah... working towards a day where I have finished all my chores and can give quality instead of being whacked out by quantity.
Go figure.
The joy of the Lord is my strength.
I shall give Him all the glory.

My office has so few Christians, it is a wonderful chance to be a 'light'.
Shall give my best for the Lord.
Nothing is impossible for Him.
Have lofty dreams of one day starting a cell group at the office...
Lofty...

Went out for dinner with Shoon last Friday to Ichiban.
Service is still better there than at other places... then again, I might have to chance my stand on it... but it was crowded, so benefit of the doubt goes to them.
They renovated the place.
Food wasn't all bad.
I usually eat more during dinner time now, coz I have no appetite in at the office.
But anyway, we went walking around the building as it was closing for the night.
The bane of being in the west - getting to central takes a very long time.
I shopped for shirts while waiting for him.
Table Tennis victory for Singapore.
Who didn't watch the victory? =]

Yingz came over on Monday night.
Much needed girl time with her.
Feels like a freaking eternity since I last saw her.
T'was good to have her around and listen to what has been going on with her.
I doubt we will have as much of a chance to meet up when she starts working.
Gah... oh well, the beauty of a relationship is when the effort is made ya?

Cell last night was refreshing.
Winnie prayed for me.
God touched my spirit.
Word was shared and my knowledge compounded.
Now, I just have to follow the Word.

Can't wait for Friday!
It's gonna be an interesting session Church.
Seminar about Demonisation anyone?
Gonna have to find someone to take pictures of the English Language Elementary Level Class on that evening.. it's the final class for the Friday group.
Bunch of 'boys' gonna have to speak more English from now on.
All the best!
With God, all things are possible!

Saturday is going to be whacked out as well~
Tuition - Church for BCM Teachers' Day gathering - WWS for the Singapore Fireworks Festival.
Wow...
(and again I say) Wow...

Krystal has been playing a very important part in keeping me sane in the office.
Thank you very much gal!
I buy you lunch the next time we meet up ok?
I think it will be during the next grading ya?
So you come hang out with us ok? =]

I shall take this opportunity to wish Adelyn and Parveen a HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY!!! (in advance)
We only get to be this young once... heehee...
Hope you ladies have a blast on Saturday!

-hugs all around-
Time to spend time with the family~

^-^

p.s. My previous post was number:500.
Wowo... After blogging for 4 years... is that a good or bad thing... hmmmm....Speaking of which...
p.p.s. Yingz' last post was one year ago... Girlfriend~ When are you going to post another entry? >.<
